The Launch-Ten Lesson I Learnt From this Blogging Master

Blow Their Mind

Perhaps you are looking for a book that inspired Jon like never before-then go for Stephen King Book, "On Writing".
To get a drift of what this book is all about, I am going to share two quotes with you.

“Writing isn’t about making money, getting famous, getting dates, getting laid or making friends. In the end, it’s about enriching lives of those who will read your work, and enriching your own life as well.”

This is the number one thing that propels Jon, it is about enriching lives, while along the way getting the perks that enriching lives provides”

Is This Your Mantra?

Be Serious

"You can approach the act of writing with nervousness, excitement, hopefulness or even despair-the sense that you can never completely put on page what’s in your mind and heart. You can come to the act with your fists clenched and your eyes narrow, ready to kick-ass and take down names. You can come to it because you want to change the world. Come to it anyway but lightly. Let me say it again: you must not come lightly to the blank page.”

According to Jon, if you want the world to take you seriously, you must have to take your writing seriously, you must write your content as if its aim is to change the world.

Limit Your Time On Television Screen

Am sure you’ve heard that television kills creativity. That’s why Jon advocates a take down on your television time. You should “slaughter” this time on the altar of reading. This way you end bursting open the brilliant enemy called writers block.

Write 1000 Words Everyday

To be honest with you, this may be my most difficult task. But say it I must!
Spend less time on social media. Social media should be a tool to set you free, not to enslave you

Use Short Paragraph

You’ve written a mammoth 2000 words, then you end up committing this serious blunder-your text reads like a compacted cluster of ants fighting for a single meal-no way for you to see the kill. As a result, your disinterested audience is forced to take a walk.

Never allow this happen to your content, it’s a traffic killer. It simply slays your audience focus.

Study The Best and Study the Worst.

We all strive to learn from the best writers. What about doing something different and learning from the worst writers or bloggers?

You Know Why?

The reason is not for you to emulate them but for you to recognize those things as they creep into your word.

Learn To Write with Clarity

Its Jon view that when you describe things, images, letter, symbols with clarity and intimacy; they suspect us of reading their mind and they‘ll follow you to the ends of the earth.

So take it for me, make your writing easy to understand, that’s why you need to understand your audience.

Am not yet perfect, but am on a journey.

Strive To Be Like Jesus

Just as Jesus had many followers and haters; to become a successful blogger, you must be ready to receive hate mails.

Try Something Different

Do something you’ve never done before, like write a post that will make you so uncomfortable. If it’s good publish, if it’s stupid delete it.

Use Stories

Stories are condiments, they add flavor; inject them into your post and circumcise the hearts of your distant readers.

Now it your turn, share some of the brilliant lessons you’ve learnt from your mentor or great friends. Am all ears.
